"Art Seifert did an inspection on a house that I was considering purchasing in Franklinville, NJ. The purchase was an as-is deal so I was just looking to see what I was getting in to. As Art was inspecting the house from top to bottom; the seller was present and accompanied us. As expected Art pointed out many issues. What we didn't expect was that the following week the seller hired contractors to repair every safety issue that Art pointed out during the inspection. The issues ranged from electrical wiring problems such as dangerous connections to missing ground fault protection circuits. The oil heater had many problems which could have been a danger to our health and even some moisture issues leading to mold and structural problems.
If we hadn't had Art inspect the house for us all of these issues would have been a direct cost to us besides the fact that we might have been unaware of the many safety issues facing us.
Getting a home inspection is a wise choice for any purchase, even an as-is contract like ours."
